July 27th, 2007

Went to the doctors today for Bekah's well visit for 15 months. She is doing really well and NO EAR INFECTION!! wooohooo. Not that i was expecting one as she isn't sick but this is the first "well" visit that we haven't found out she had an ear infection.

She is 25 lbs 8 oz and 32 inches long. She had to get four shots today though cause she didn't get her last visits shots because she had an ear infection (this was at her 12 month visit). The office was short staffed so it took awhile and bekah was NOT happy to have to stay in one place for too long. I saw the doctor quicker than the nurses for the shots. Then she wasn't even more unhappy once she did get the shots! She even did that no breathing cry thing. She got over it quickly.

Then we headed to walmart... got some flowers for the garden. Yeah we are trying to have a garden with live flowers and not dead ones. So far we are doing pretty good. I don't have much of a green thumb and we are learning as we are going. The kids love helping to plant and weed and seeing them grow. Some of the flowers have died though but we are doing much better than I expected so that is a start. We have a cucumberplant and already have had five full grown cucumbers from it. They are pretty tasty too. They don't just taste like water as the ones from the store do (or at least thats how i think they taste). There are still more growing now too. We also are trying tomato plants. Got one ripe tomato so far and hubby and the kids said it tasted good but was very small. I wasn't there when they tasted it. But there are four more growing but they are still green. Again smaller than I thought they would be. Not nearly as big as the ones at the store.

Its hot and humid the last few days. Yuck! But the air conditioner is on so I am staying inside. lol. I hate the heat. The kids don't mind playing outside though. They come in and out when they get hot.

I have been working out the last few weeks and that really helps with my energy levels. I feel more awake during the day since I have started. And I have also lost 6 pounds in 6 weeks. Not too bad. I haven't been watching what i eat too much so that is a good rate to loss without dieting. Though I have started eating more fresh fruit and raw veggies. I think that helps too.

I am off to plant a few more flowers that i bought today.

Today we came home from being down the shore since Thursday. We had a nice time. The weather was really nice until Saturday when it started to get really humid. The kids went in the pool every day but today as we left early to beat traffic coming home. We got home in an hour and half.

My parents were going to take them to the rides on Saturday but they got to Ocean City about half hour away to sit in stand still traffic so they turned around. The kids were fine about it though! They had no choice really. :)

Rebekah isn't happy with weaning whatsoever! lol. I cut down from four to two but i went back to three. I think cutting two feedings at once was too much for her! lol She was miss cranky butt after her naps until bedtime. I usually wean one feeding at a time anyways but it kinda worked out to cut two. But it aint working. She is ok with missing the one just not the one after her nap. I will give her some more time with three a day and then cut the one out again.

Laura turns five tomorrow! She is very excited for her bday. Daddy made her a kitchen set - a fridge and oven. It looks really good. I think both Justin Jr and Rebekah will also be fighting her on playing with it! hehe.

Justin jr is looking forward to his bday on the 14th. He turns 7 this year. Yikes! Where does the time go?

Well think I am heading to bed now. Have a good Monday!

4th of July

Happy Independence Day!

Today we celebrated the 4th of July by going on a picnic at the park. Justin jr rode his two wheeler a bit and also his scooter with a friend. Then we went to a minor league baseball game which had fireworks afterwards. It rained and rained at the game. They called the game after the fifth inning and I thought they were going to cancel the fireworks because of the rain and was just about to leave with a very dissappointed 7 year old when they started up. So everyone was happy they still put on the fireworks. It was fun but very wet! The baby hung in there pretty good but was pretty bored just sitting there. She wouldn't even nurse because there was so much going on. We walked around the concourse for awhile. Justin jr asked if we could go back again sometime. So i think he liked it! :)

We got home late and the baby was already asleep in the car. She transferred fine to her crib! Justin Jr went right to bed when we got in.

Tomorrow (thurs July 5th) we are heading down the shore until Sunday. It will be good to see Laura as I miss her. But she is having a good time down the shore with her grandparents. And its quiet around here without her crying over everything :)

Its very late so I am heading off to bed now! Have a good rest of the week.

Tuesday July 3rd!

Well, I have tried blogging before but thought I would try to do so again more regularly. I also thought it would be a good way to update everyone who is online and far away how we are doing.

Justin Jr will be 7 years old on July 14th! Yikes. I can't beleive it was seven years ago that I was expecting my first baby and now my first baby is seven years old. Time sure does fly. He is enjoying his summer. We have been going down the shore off and on and he loves to swim. He just learned how to ride his bike without the training wheels and he is so happy about that. he rides his bike all the time now. Before he never really had any interest. I think the training wheels made him nervous cause the bike wobbled. Now that he can balance it himself he does much better.

Laura will be five years old on July 9th! I cannot beleive that either! She is learning how to swim and even puts her face in the water. She can't keep her belly up yet but she is trying very hard. She loves to dance and can't wait until her dance class starts up again in October. She enjoys bothering her older brother and taking his toys and playing with Rebekah (and ya, bothering her too!). She wants to help out alot with whatever we are doing. She loves playing with little ones. She is like a little mommy to them. So cute.

RebekahAnn is growing fast. She is 15 months old. She is talking more and more. She says "door, dog, cat, ball, down, belly, no, flag, bye-bye, hi" and I think more but I can't think of them. She loves giving kisses and making faces. She loves playing with her brother and sister and any child around her. She is nursing still but we are down to two times a day - in the morning and in the evening. So that is good. She wants to be outside all day long. She enjoys being down the shore. She loves the pool and will even put her whole face in the water. She will be swimming soon! lol.

Justin sr and I and the kids joined the Northeast Community Center that has an indoor heated pool, a fitness gym and gymnasium. We have been taking the kids when justin gets home from work to go swimming and then we get them to bed and I go back to the gym to get some more exercise in. I am hoping to lose some weight and have some more energy. It also helps me sleep better as I have such problems with insomnia.

Today we are heading off to see fireworks at a place called Longwood Gardens. It should be fun. Justin Jr can't wait to see fireworks. It will be a late night as the place is forty-five minutes away if not more. But it will be fun.

Have a great day!
